Preface
Electronic technology is rapidly expanding from the field of building
environmental monitoring
and control into energy management, building security monitoring
and building maintenance.
These installations also control and monitor various building
mechanical and electrical systems,
and serve as communication tools between the building systems
and the EMCS Users.
The requirements of any one of these individual functions must
be co-ordinated so that they do
not interfere with the performance of the other EMCS functions.
