Current areas of interest:
Mr. Wiseman conducts applied research in the area of physical building infrastructure. He has over 15 years experience in structural design and construction in the private sector. Since joining PWGSC in 1992 he has specialized in providing technical expertise in the area of building science, asset performance, building envelopes and related durability issues. He investigates innovative solutions in response to our real property issues such as the use and effectiveness of non-traditional construction materials. In particular, he has contributed to the development of standards and numerous best practice guidelines including durability guidelines for parking structures, building envelopes and roof systems.

He is a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario, and a member of the Canadian Standards Association S806 Technical Committee on Design and Construction of Building Components with Fibre-Reinforced Polymers.
