Edward's areas of expertise include low energy building design, building security risk evaluation, electricity deregulation, advanced building controls and communication protocols, buildings systems simulation and modeling including end use efficiencies, district energy, distributed generation, energy storage, natural gas cooling, low energy heating and cooling applications, integrated mechanical systems, and ground and groundwater coupled heat pumps. His list of recent publications includes over 30 technical reports and papers. Edward is a registered professional engineer in Ontario and Missouri.
He is a past Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International
Energy Agency's Implementing Agreement on Energy Conservation Through
Energy Storage (1990-1994), a Past President of the International Council
for Thermal Energy Storage (1985-1988), editor and publisher of the Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage Newsletter Newsletter (1987-1992) and presently a member
of Dr. Morofsky received a BS in 1966, an MS in 1969, and a Ph.D. in 1972, all in engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He was also awarded an MBA in 1985 from the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario. He was a Visiting Professor at the Clarkson University School of Management in 1988-1989. |
